Hi there I'm Kristie and my favorite meal of all time is a hotdog with ketchup and mustard, baked beans, and mac & cheese. Growing up this was a very popular lunchtime meal in my family. I don't even really know why I enjoy this meal so much. I guess it just has something to do with habit and my childhood. I think these particular items just remind me of summer and picnics at my Grandma's house, I mean who doesn't have hotdogs at their picnics? I think my like for hotdogs goes back to summer picnics and how much fun they were with the whole family swimming and playing pool games and having a great time. I absolutely love summer and our family get-togethers and I think that shows in the foods I eat.

Very Interesting! I think i might like this. Althought the hot dog, beans, and mac and cheese are all pretty plain American type foods, together they could be an interesting concoction.
ReplyDeleteI like that you and some of the other people also associate summer foods with family get togethers and picnics. I love hotdogs too, especially at picnics or cooking them at bonfires with friends
ReplyDeleteEverybody eats hotdogs! I love hotdog with ketchup. It tastes so good. Everytime I had a hotdog, I just couldn't stop thinking that I would like to have one more. Hotdog is a great meal.
ReplyDeleteI also love hotdogs! I love family picnics and how enjoyable they were! My memorable food is SPAM and how my mother would always cook spam for sandwiches for picnics!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post. I think you're quite right that a lot of the reasons we like particular foods have to do with the memories we associate with them, the emotions we felt when we ate them. Your post illustrates that extremely well for me.
ReplyDeleteI think its interesting that you picked a simple meal, sometimes simple is best, I like that. I love hot dogs too!! Especially on the grill in the summer time with kool-aid! I like baked beans and mac cheese anytime of the year though! I think its great that food can you and your family together.
